See hyperactive Scientologists gush excessively over the wonderfulness of the latest set of books and courses that they must buy. The editing is so rapid, the music so loud that you might not have time to think ... about how much money this costs! And that is the point.

But you have to put the viewing of this video in perspective. Imagine yourself at a Scientology fund raising event inside someplace like the Shrine Auditorium or the FLAG theater. It's an overbuilt set, the music is very loud, cult leader David Miscavige talks very fast. And then this overcaffinated beverage of a video comes on to bitch slap your senses for over seven minutes. How much editing can one viewer take??

All of which gives the fundraising event participant little time to notice how not one cultist video testimonial gives a practical example of how they were helped.

This slick English version is just one example of many multinational videos the Church of Scientology creates every day. And in many languages. Which is why there are subtitles. I guess. Or maybe the subtitles are for us non-Scientologists in the outside world who may be watching. Watching and attracted ...
